Description: VTG Wooden Collectible Children Toys Handmade Italian Pinocchio Puppet Ann Fuller English Female Jack-in-the-Box Two classic children’s toys -- one based on a fictional woodcarver’s puppet from the 1800s, the other designed by a German clockmaker in the 1500s as a gift for a five-year-old prince. The Pinocchio puppet is a six-inch, fully articulated wooden barrel toy from Italy. He’s painted in bright colors of green, red, tan, yellow, and black and sporting a felt collar. He’s in great shape without chips or scratches, only a small mark on the back of the felt. Just for fun, the last photo of the puppet is a Pinocchio illustration from 1883. The other wooden toy is a hand-painted, scarce collectible created by English designer Ann Fuller, who flipped genders for this traditionally male pop-up toy. Jill-in-the-Box is dressed in a cloth costume and cap and pops out of her wooden box when you unclasp the brass hook. The doll and pop-up mechanism are in very good condition; the wooden box and brassware are also in good shape, showing only minimum surface wear. The tag in the box reads “Ann Fuller Designs, Made in England.” The base of the box is felt covered.
