Description: WWII Major dress shirt, jacket, Garrison Cap. Everything is in pristine condition, no rips, tears of holes, this is truly a museum quality display piece. The jacket and shirt have the Europe-Africa-Middle East campaign ribbon with 2 battle stars as well as a bronze star ribbon. They both have the Major gold oak leafs and USAAC insignia. The jacket also has the Presidential Unit Citation Badge with a star. The Garrison cap is a size 7 1/8 and has Major gold leaf cluster insignia. Found in the inside jacket pocket is a newsletter/advertisement for the London ARC club. This officer was involved in the invasion of Normandy and the liberation of Dachau concentration camp. He was attached to the 9th Army Air Corps Division which was known for providing crucial tactical air support in Normand and throughout the European campaign. In the photos are the officer wearing this exact uniform. Please note the estate wished to keep these photos so they are NOT INCLUDED but granted that pictures of the photos could be taken. The uniform belonged to Major Kenneth Wilson, 9th Army Air Corps Division, 50th fighter group, 313th squadron.
