These knives are a form of trench art made or modified by combatants or others, within the Theatre of Operation during the war. As a form of trench art, they can be both original "custom Made" knives or modifications of existing issued knives. This listing is for a Bowie style knife. The blade alone measures approx. 5 3/4“ long and the overall knife measures approx. 10" The handle, aluminum with copper rivets meas. approx. has girth. 3/4" X 7/8" X 4"and has a brass guard. The blade is unmarked, approx. 3 mm thick. It comes with its custom leather sheath. That has an overall length of approx. 10". Snap works. Please see photos for better description and condition.
