Description: Theatre made Bowie KNIFE named and dated. 8 3/8" combat blade with Philippine coin & plate in wood grip (Luzon 1945 / USA Engineers / Rusty (name, not rusty). Come with a Modified Model 1917 Bolo scabbard marked AK Co. 1918 PJP with attached belt. Scuff on the leather, but otherwise 100%.Cool piece. Coin is worn, Rusty Engineers is hard to understand the date "1945". Knife Guru Frank Trzaska checked the year to confirm. All knife blade, hilt, all over are all solid. Full tang, 8 3/8" blade, 1 1/2" widest blade, 1/8" thickness of tang, blade and handle 14"I rate this knife in very good to very good plus condition.Seems to be this type knife of the large/length/wide popular to Army/Marines in the Pacific jungle for oversized to close combat in the mass of Japanese banzai attacks.I give detailed pictures in all my auctions, along with a detailed description and I grade the item. (I will never write in a description “looks good for its age”-whatever that is supposed to mean?)Sold as a historic relic. Please observe eBay’s guidelines for knife sales and your local/state laws.Sorry, no sales to minors.
